If you follow this website, you probably know that I usually write two columns a month for The Berkshire Eagle, which is a daily newspaper in Pittsfield, Mass.
I write mostly about local and national news issues, but once in a while, I’ll write a piece about the entertainment industry.
In my latest column, I talk about how, despite the fact that we have safe and effective vaccines against COVID-19, the box office both nationally and globally have continued to lag, as large tentpole films have continued to underperform.
This leaves local theaters that rely on such films in a tough spot, even as some have benefitted from COVID-19 relief money.
